AI Studio

This studio project focused on learning how artificial intelligence (AI) can be applied in architecture. The emphasis was on understanding AI's role in enhancing creativity and efficiency during the initial stages of building design. Utilizing platforms such as Midjourney and Vizcon, AI tools helped idealize projects and generate innovative ideas. This experience highlighted the potential of AI to transform architectural processes, providing essential skills for future applications.

SITE AND PROGRAMS

Residential building placed in the heart of Dog Town, embracing the vibrant spirit of its surroundings while offering a calm oasis for its residents.

Dog Town, with its active array of food-related establishments, inspired me to reimagine this space as more than just a place to live; it's a community hub where residents and visitors can immerse themselves in the rich culinary landscape right at their doorstep. Therefore, I’ve integrated a food market on the ground floor, showcasing a diverse collection of small businesses, from cozy coffee shops to beautiful restaurants, all facing the busiest street, in Kelite’s building. This not only adds to the vibrancy of the neighborhood but also fosters a sense of community among residents and local entrepreneurs.

Beyond that I repurposed the existing buildings on-site to create event spaces, including an outdoor area for gatherings and celebrations. Additionally, there’s also a dedicated building adjacent to the residential towers for parking.

RESIDENTIAL AMENITIES AND REMOVED PARTS FROM KELITE

When it comes to the residential experience, I've designed every aspect to elevate daily living. By removing the middle part of the existing structure, I've opened up space for an extended courtyard, providing residents with a serene outdoor retreat complete with seating areas and greenery. The second floor hosts a range of amenities, including a gym, lounge rooms, meeting spaces, and a pool, and access to the staircase that leads to the private patio.

FORM DESIGN

The design of the building itself draws inspiration from a blend of influences. Using Midjourney as a creative tool. I started with the prompt “residential building with balconies with travertine facade, curvy lines on balcony walls that ends straight, cozy vibe, tranquil environment, modern Japanese style” Then I used that image and blended with a reference image that I liked, and it gave me what I wanted. I also used Midjourney to give me inspiration for the food market, patio, and material mood board.
